It’s time to change the narrative! Instead of worrying that our congregations are aging, and we do not have enough kids, let’s work to make each of our congregations the best senior ministry in town.
Deacon Cecelia Travick Jackson may be the only ELCA synod staff focused on senior adult ministry in the country. She has led a team of seniors to create a senior ministry task force.
The vision of the Southwest California Senior Ministries is to support existing senior adult ministries as well as providing resources and encouragement for the development of a focused, intentional, sustained, and effective senior adult ministry in each congregation of the Southwest California Synod where a personal relationship with God is affirmed and expanded.
