Southwest California Synod, ELCA

 On September 13, 2008, the Southwest California Synod Council voted to become an partner with many other ELCA Synods, congregations, members and ministries in the ELCA’s Book of Faith initiative.

The ELCA’s vision for the five-year initiative approved at the 2007 ELCA Churchwide Assembly is: That the whole church become more fluent in the first language of faith, the language of Scripture, in order that we might live into our calling as a people renewed, enlivened, empowered, and sent by the Word.
